Tekken Revolution, by and large, is a modification of Tekken Tag Tournament 2, reusing assets like backgrounds and character models from that game (although it has a new soundtrack). The game ceased operations on March 20, 2017. It is no longer available in Europe as of 2016.

It is the first game in the Tekken franchise to be made free-to-play and the first to be released exclusively in digital format. It was released on the PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Store in June 2013.
